Kym is an experienced psychologist who works with children, adolescents and adults. She utilises a range of evidence based therapies including schema-based, cognitive-behavioural, emotion focussed therapy and motivational interviewing to meet the needs of clients. She works with individuals, couples and families.
Kym is able to assist clients with a range of concerns including:
- Mood disorders including depression and bipolar mood disorders
- Anxiety disorders such as social anxiety, generalised anxiety and specific phobias
- OCD
- Adjustment Disorders and managing significant change
- Self-esteem and self-confidence

ADULTS
Kym aims to improve the functioning and quality of life of her clients, with a focus on both the individual and their relationships. She is sensitive to the assistance needed by clients suffering from depression, anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
Kym has also worked as a teacher and guidance officer in schools across Queensland. This involved working with young people with learning difficulties and disabilities including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and behavioural disorders such as Oppositional Defiance Disorder. Kym has extensive experience working with children and young people who have been diagnosed with Autism. Kym has assisted children and adolescents with non-suicidal self-injury, school refusal, mood and anxiety disorders and difficulty with transitions.
YOUNG ADULTS
Kym has a particular interest in adolescents and young adults who are making transitions such as, the adjustment to university or work and managing the emerging challenges in their adult lives. She also has an interest in supporting young people with questions of identity, gender or sexuality.
